Me

I'm a typical geek, online and offline. I throw a mean boomarang, sing in the shower and can't sit in a chair like a normal person. I love Jesus, like Jeopardy and hate dislike pickles. My new focus is to live a lean mean green life by supporting organic farmers and ridding my life of nasty chemicals.

Background

I was born in Davenport Iowa (1979). I went to Garfield Elementary, Sudlow Jr. High, Bettendorf Middle School and graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1997 as an art nerd. I moved to St. Louis after high school and now I live in O'Fallon.

Family

I married my best friend on June 25th 2000 at the World''s Fair Pavilion in Forest Park. My wife Sarah is just plain flat out awesome. She's caring, understanding, nurturing, loyal not to mention hot as all get-out. She's my best friend. I am her number one fan. She's all that and a bag of chips. We're expecting our first child My first child, Jack Valentine Holst (named after my grandpa) was born in April 2008.

Photography

I've been taking photos for quite a few years now. It first started as a hobby with a 2.0 megapixel Kodak. I fell in love instantly. I usually shoot with a 30d and I have too many lenses to list, call me spoiled. I usually shoot with a Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L. I also have the pleasure of doing it professionally.
