Tower Grove Farmers' Market needs your support.

Supporting the Tower Grove Farmers' Market is the smart thing to do. Why? Cause it's the right thing to do, AND you get a t-shirt. Beat that! It starts up again this season: Every Saturday from May 10 through October 25, 8:30am until 12:30pm.

Although it's been going for a few years now, I only found out about it recently at ProBlogSTL.

To give growers and producers of Missouri and Illinois agricultural commodities and other farm-related products alternative marketing opportunities.
To promote the sale of Missouri and Illinois-grown farm products.
To improve the variety, freshness, taste and nutritional value of produce available in the St. Louis area.
To make healthy, regionally produced foods accessible to lower-income residents.
To provide an educational forum for consumers to learn the uses and benefits of quality, locally grown or prepared food products.
To enhance the quality of life in the St. Louis area by providing a community activity which fosters social gathering and interaction.

You can support the farmers market a few different ways. You can make a donation and get a Tower Grove Farmers' Market t-shirt, a Tower Grove Farmers' Market recycled plastic travel coffee mug, 2 reusable organic cotton produce bags or a Tower Grove Farmers' Market organic cotton totebag. (I opted for the shirt, I'm a sucker for t-shirts.) You can also support them by shopping there.

The location is at, well, Tower Grove Park but more specifically west of the pool pavillion.
