Mary Brandel takes a cfdump
I haven't had the chance to write about my relationship with ColdFusion yet, and I don't have the time right now. Since ColdFusion is currently paying my bills, I have to put this story out there real quick and expose it for what it is, poop.
Credit to Dave for this showing me this story on computerworld: Top 10 dead (or dying) computer skills
From Mary Brandal (the one who I referred to as "taking a dump")
This once-popular Web programming language -- released in the mid-1990s by Allaire Corp. (which was later purchased by Macromedia Inc., which itself was acquired by Adobe Systems Inc.) -- has since been superseded by other development platforms, including Microsoft Corp.'s Active Server Pages and .Net, as well as Java, Ruby on Rails, Python, PHP and other open-source languages.
There are many problems with her statement. I won't go in to any of them but will let the great Forta sort her out: Forta.com - Today's Irresponsible Journalism Award Goes To Mary Brandel
Chances are you have no idea what all of this is. BUT, if you have a digg account you're welcome to bury the story here.
