iMac Surgery
Did some quick surgery on one of the iMacs this morning. Since this is the equivalent to performing open heart surgery on your kid, I thought I'd snap a few quick pics.
Problem was the hard drive went bad. I actually happened to have another 500GB SATA drive laying around (the mark of a true geek) so I wanted to swap them out. Whole thing took about 30-45 minutes. Pretty straight forward.
Removing the front glass w/ suction cups

Removing the aluminum bezel

Removing the front LCD panel

Removing the hard drive

Ready to put the new drive in

Drive in, halfway assembled (hate assembling it to find something aint right, only to have to take it all apart again).

Boom.
