I love my fisheye camera. It was a gift from aunt and uncle to be, lil Dira and Jameson. I've used it a bunch of times but have been horrible at scanning the prints. My to-do for this week is to buy more film and carry the camera with me.
My friends Lauren and Erin were kind enough to test out my new diy ring light today. This is a good example of what you can produce with your very own diy ring light.
More fruit shots. I just couldn't leave a good thing alone. Remember, no fruit was harmed wasted in this shoot, so we're good on that.
I built a new and improved ring light. This is a sample photo of me, again at 3 am after I finished it. The new light will be more portable, not as dangerous, not as hot and more environment friendly (104 total watts instead of 800 watts). Look for that tutorial soon.
My shooting has been in a slump lately. I think it's the winter months. Today it made me just plain mad so I was out on a mission to create a decent photo. Off to the fridge I go.
Or even a dog-eat-dog world as it were. In either case my dog Maggie is constantly challenged with "where's the latest and greatest spot to sleep?"
I was leafing through some photos from a few months back and found this long exposure shot I took on my last visit to Iowa. This was 694 seconds (roughly 11 minutes) at f/8 ISO 200.
I'm moving from the city to the burbs this weekend. I'm doing a lot of cleaning and painting to prepare our current house for sale; hence the goggles.
We have all of this high tech photo equipment laying around the studio but sometimes it's good to just kick back and fire up PhotoBooth / iSight and act like a kid again.
Wow! I've been so busy I haven't posted any photos in a long time! I only got this shot because I thought to grab my camera on my way out of the door to run to Schnucks last night at 10:00. Calgon take me away!
Alright I've been made fun of recently for my love of Schlafly but seriously, who doesn't love it? If you have not tried Schlafly beer, please read the following list to make sure that your reason is an acceptable one.
This is my unnamed fish who survived against all odds. All of his friends and family died and after a lot of neglect on my part he was elevated to a new level with the Biorb Fish Bowl. $150 to save a $3 fish and me from the guilt.
This is a continuing series where I take one subject and in one short shoot produce 10 images for a series. Well here we go for round three.
London, a Great Dane, communicates with owner Saint Fults in a very special way. I couldn't understand what they were saying but did manage to snap this photo of the conversation.
Another 4th of July Photo, this time bigger and better. This is my mom waving around a sparkler on a long exposure shot.
Yet another dog photo of my beautifully smelly boxer Maggie. This time I got the sprinkler out, a sort of drink slash photo shoot.
This is Dave Treadway, remember the other wedding and engagement photos I posted of him and his wife Susie?" Well here is another one!
This year we didn't brave downtown St. Louis. We had our own fireworks show instead. We basically put South City St. Louis on the map with some crazy fireworks.
Juan Pablo and his Boston Terrier Spark also known as Monkey. If you live in my area and haven't had your dog photographed by me and my lovely wife, you really should consider it. ;-)
Another quick photo of my shoot with Nick, Casey, Harley & Boss. Here is the first shot I posted.
You had to be there in order to get the title of this photo. I brought a pocket full of treats to this shoot and I got snubbed. Nick & girlfriend Casey brought cheese!
Another shot of the love birds. We had a limited time to shoot between the ceremony and reception so we were cooking through these shots!
My Boxer Maggie never ceases to amaze me. This is what we came home to the other day.
Mr. & Mrs. Huelsing everybody! What a beautiful ceremony! Such a privilege for my wife and I to capture.
And now, introducing Mr. & Mrs. Treadway. The two became one, it was an amazing night, everyone went home exhausted!
Ok so a week or so ago I said I was going to take one subject and in one short shoot produce 10 images for a series. Well here we go for round two. (see round one here)
Went to the Zoo awhile back and never went through the photos. Finally got the time and look, I found this little gem.
How about some collage action from the Hafiz and Jen Huda Friends and Family Picnic? I fall under the friend / photographer category, by the way. ;-) (Huda Blog action here)
Hafiz and Jennifer Huda, doesn't that just have a nice ring to it!? (No pun intended I promise).
Converse should pay me for this. I love random fun shots. Who complains about how there is nothing to shoot?
